...because fiction is our greatest escape from reality...

Run By Posting

Working hard today.  I planned to revise the new and much, much better chapter to get to Rachel, but was sidetracked by my own story and wrote around 2000 new words instead.  This is a good thing!! 😉

So, since I’m pretty sure I can knock out another 2000, I’m headed back.  My right hand is killing me, but I plan to work through the evening…

I do have to share that I would have gotten an earlier start if I hadn’t picked up this book this morning!

Rogue Angel, The Spider Stone

This author kindly sent me an ARC to review on my blog and I plan to do so when I’m done, but wow.   Wow.

I just planned to read a few pages with breakfast and instead ran through about eighty pages.  I had to force myself to put it down to work.

It has a sharp female protagonist in Annja Creed, an intriguing mystery plot right off the bat and I raced through one wickedly good, kick-ass fight scene– so good, I’ll probably go back and reread it.

Thoughts of what’s going to happen next are intruding into my work!

This is the third book in a series and I may have to go back and start at the beginning.

But not until I reach my goal.  Rachel has sailed past her word count and I feel the need for speed.  We planned to market together after all and man, she’s so far ahead of me… <g>

Oooh, will you be done with it by the Nov. meeting? If so, can I borrow it? I’ll bring you Vicki P’s ARC and we can share! Whadda ya say?

OOOOH! I *just* finished the first one in one sitting…it was fab, and Alex mentioned Mel in the acknowledgements, so I’m wondering if he’s one of “our” Oklahoma authors. I can’t really find anything online, so maybe we need to pump Mel??

Anyway, not having read the rest of the series, I think reading this one (Destiny) is probly semi-integral in understanding the whole sword/Roux/Garin thing…

I’m tempted to stop reading and go back to the beginning. I really like Annja.
