...because fiction is our greatest escape from reality...

Leaving Tomorrow

I missed another Monday poetry train.  With the job and conference, I’ve been slammed.  I did manage to finish reading Rachel’s fantastic second book in her werecat series and I can tell you all, you’re in for a treat.  Good emotional stuff in this one.  She even had me bouncing in my chair through a good part of it!

So, I think I’m bringing my laptop–but I’m riding and rooming with T.L. and Brooke (who needs a website now that she SOLD A BOOK! heh heh) and yeah, three women, one car, a week’s worth of clothes and shoes… FOR EACH.

So, once T gets here and I get a feel for the storage, I’ll decide.  I may just have to beg her to let me send you all updates through hers. <g>

I’m excited, nervous and hoping I haven’t forgotten anything.  I’m also really looking forward to seeing people and meeting some of those I’ve met online.  If you see a tall, brunette (I accidentally covered my red and blonde–don’t ask.) with Rinda on her nametag, stop and say hi.

Have fun in Big D. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do (leave it wide open doesn’t it.) Brunette??? You would look good in any color but I’ll just have to see a picture. Is RWA a haven for Urban Fantasy? Should PTM go to a romance line? Hmmmmm Carol

    (1) I am so compelled to ask about the brunette thing, but I won’t.

    (2) Enjoy the conference. I’ve always wanted to go to one, but never had the wherewithal to do so. They sound exciting, with so much potential, there’s absolutely no prostitute for them.

(I did check out the video below. Funny.)

Hi Erica! You just thought a freak walked up to stare, didn’t you? LOL! It was great meeting you. Feels like we run constantly while at these things. But, I did catch sight of you at the awards and wow, you looked fantastic!!!

Rhian, I will hopefully be back on the train soon. I have a new job and lots of writing and family stuff. Life should chill a bit soon. 🙂

Hi X!! I’m so behind on your site, it’s pathetic. Yeah, my hair looked a little different at the conference, but not terrible. You should try a writer’s conference someday. You come back with the urge to get books and articles out faster. 🙂

Yay, thanks for liking my awards dress! (Clearance, $15, can you believe that?? Found it the night before I left for National. Whew.)

Wish we could’ve talked more. Hope to see you next year!
