...because fiction is our greatest escape from reality...

Live For This

You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.  ~Ray Bradbury

Last night, I wrote until the words blurred and my fingers starting tripping over themselves.  This morning, when my husband got up at five, I shocked him by not griping and going immediately back to sleep.  I got up.  Granted, I haven’t started writing yet since I watched my DVR copy of Castle and got the kids ready for school.  But I’m about to dive in.

There is NOTHING like the feeling of a good story capturing you in its grip.  NOTHING.

And at least I’m not thinking about the book out on submission so much. SO MUCH. <g>

Excellent! Sounds like you’re in a great place and staying ‘drunk’ on the writing. Very nice!

Beats waiting for that phone to ring. And yet, I’m still kind of doing that, too. When there’s something you want soooo badly… and all that. Which you totally get. 😉

Go, Rinda, Go! 🙂 I feel that when the writing comes like this, it’s often pretty darn good words.

Happened to me last week. Words were just flying from my fingers, and the plot finally made total sense. Of course, now that I’ve fired off a blurb for said project to the agent for her thoughts, I’m a little distracted again. 🙂

Hey Jen, I think Miriam is going out of town, so hearing back might take a while. I was tempted to shoot off the major changes I’ve made to this WIP to her but decided to hold off. You might as well dive into something else. And hopefully, it’ll suck you in deep. It’s fun like this.

    Thanks for the cheer, Bonnie!

Good point. I probably won’t hear back on it until she gets back in the office. I think I’ll just keep writing away at this idea (because I LOVE it) and hope she likes it. 🙂

Hope you’re still going strong over there!
