Hi all, sorry for the long time between posts. I’m battling a health issue that has me taking so many antibiotics, I’m nauseous all the time. Two weeks of 8 pills a day! But in the end, years of problems will be solved, so it’ll be worth it.
So, I’ll be back soon with an article on writing I’ve been working on.
Because I feel so icky, I’ve been listening to my comfort CDs.
Good Dog Bad Dog by Over the Rhine Mellow, lovely CD that is good from beginning to end. These two write excellent poetry as well. You find it on this website along with samples of music. Give them a try.
Drunkard’s Prayer by Over the Rhine again. 🙂 – I do love this band.
Tenderfoot by Without Gravity — Another good one. This man’s voice is smooth, ethereal and wonderful. Very mellow, feel good, rainy day, folky type music. This page is the video page. You can click on Beautiful Son in the column on the left side under video. Good song.
OH!!! My very, very good friend, Sarah Wilson, has a creepy story about vampires and the gothic scene out right now here! The World Of Myth – Sarah Wilson – LONG IN THE TOOTH Go read it and vote. I’ve been critiquing with her for years. Great writer!
And here’s a tip. I’ve been getting a free Kraft Food & Family recipe magazine three or four times a year. This thing has the tastiest and easiest recipes for busy moms. Plus, there’s always a kid’s cooking section. This week my children are cooking chicken pot pie for us. Yum. It’s easy to sign up and like I said, FREE, so if you’d like to get them, go here Food & Family Magazine Online
We just started the kid’s cooking night thing and it’s working out great. My kids love to cook and I love to have someone ELSE COOK. (grin)
I’ll be back soon!
