Over the Rhine has a new CD coming out.
All is right with the world again.
This one has a bit of a torch song, jazzy feel to it, kind of old-fashioned and passionate. They do this, explore different genres–making their CDs feel like slice-of-life soundtracks. There is a touch of a country feel to some of it and this is not usually my thing. But, I just like this band.
If anything, listen to Nothing is Innocent and The Trumpet Child. Trouble and I’m on a Roll are frisky and fun! Let’s Spend The Day In Bed will make you smile… and wish for such a day.
In fact, you can listen to the entire CD before ordering here. Just minimize and go about your business–see if you like them. If you pre-order, you get three free mp3s right now. 🙂
And for those who visit my site for POETRY mondays, please do check out this poem, Exit. In fact, if you have a little time, explore Linford’s poetry. My all time favorite poem ever is one of his, Personal Work. Writers will relate.
Oh, someone asked me to direct them to an old post I wrote on description called Keep It Simple, Keep It Real. Here ya go. I just love requests. 😉
