No sleep for Rinda again. Stupid storms. There was a tornado (or a scare–was too groggy to figure out which) just to the north–so once again, I stayed up most of the night. That *$%* LOUD alarm goes off around the fifth time and I was so tired, I jumped up to stand on the bed and look around. In a fighting stance.
<snerk>
Wonder if my battle-to-the-death-awakening had something to do with my night shirt.
You see, it has this guy.
And this guy…
They are drawn as naked cartoons holding a sign that covers most of their bodies. Says, “Farscape, different from the waist down.” They both have these huge, dumb-ass grins on their faces.
I LOVE THIS SHIRT! (Was a gift from Kathryn Moad. We both miss the show so much! 😉 )
My hubby isn’t as fond of it. heh
But last night, I paired it with the loudest pair of Washington Redskin flannel pajama bottoms. I was sleepy–didn’t care about matching.
It did occur to me once that maybe if we did get a tornado, I wouldn’t want that outfit to be the one I wander the neighborhood in…
OMG, I SO need one of those. I adored that show and yep, I still miss it, too.
I tried to find the shirt on the net and haven’t had any luck. I will certainly post about it if I do. It’s hilarious!
Friday night hasn’t been the same since the show ended.
I used to like this show, too, but stopped watching it long before Zan died. But then I ended up watching the series finale. I was sad when Dargo died. And thought it was so cool when she had the baby and named it after him. It’s funny how he and Claudia Black ended up on another sci-fi show together.
And then that show ended, too. LOL
Your husband probably wonders what the kids think of it.
Nah, my seventeen year old is used to my humor. I don’t wear it around my eleven year old often and usually just cross my arms over the words if I do. The sign coveres them up.
Celise, the new show with them just didn’t work. I tried watching it a few times and I don’t know if it was the script or what, but it wouldn’t hold my attention. They should just bring Farscape back. heh heh
Sounds like a seriously cool shirt. Good thing about wearing it after a tornado, you wouldn’t get lost, you’d stand out in a crowd, like it or not.
LOL, I got that shirt when the discusion board I was a member of decided to save the show. It was –ahem–a BIG-ass MB. National press, and all. We eventually got the two-ep mini, but, alas, no more series. 🙁
A woman on the board designed and made those shirts as a fundraiser. They were great; the quote was something Browder actually said when asked about the show. (Different from the waist down.)
It was, admittedly, an odd little show. But I loved it. The chemistry between Browder and Black was ama-zing. I think that is one of the major reasons–though not the only one, by far–that their tour on Stargate didn’t work out as planned. People just weren’t used to seeing these two not together. Even though it was obviously fiction, the viseral expectation was still there. ::shrug:: Maybe that was just me.
Glad you enjoy the shirt, sugar.

Great shirt! Kathy got me one, too. Barry just laughs…
I read a ton of message boards about Browder saying that–never could find the T-shirts. Kathy, did you see the funny pic on my about me page? 😉
Robert laughs at mine, too, Sara–I think he just wishes I’d sleep in something HE’D like more. 😉
Yes, I saw the pic. LOL Fun with PS.

LOL!!! OMG!! I’m the conceptor, illustrator and designer of those shirts!! What are the odds that I’d come across this post today? I just happened to be revisiting Farscape on DVD, and decided to do some net searching.
It’s so odd seeing it mentioned after all these years. I offered to design it originally a few years back because I was a huge Farscape fan. I was even asked if the art could be used and published in an ad to save Farscape in a magazine published in Seattle. I can’t recall the name, but the person who asked me kindly sent me a copy of it as well as a mug with the design on it. Very nice.
By all means, I am being totally serious. I’m sure many of you are going, “yeah…right.” I could offer a post of the original artwork or something.
ROTFLMAO
I LOVE serendipity!!! How connected our thoughts are without us knowing the scope. And if in small ways…then big ways, as well. We should always remember that.
Well–see there. Your work lives on!! It’s funny how that works, eh?
K
Man. ::sniff:: I miss that damned wonderful show. 🙁
It always tweaked my writing nerve.

You must be the one who did the complete “Farscape different from the waist down” search to get here. I was chuckling over the odds of that search yesterday.
ROFL!
Thank you very much for the design. I’m nuts about this shirt. Uh, I’m wearing it right now again, in fact. I’ve been missing the show more lately, it seems. I think it’s because there is nothing I watch now and I miss the excitment of knowing I’d have a burst of creativity–just like Kathy.
I’m glad you visited my blog!
You’re quite welcome. I was glad to merely contribute to the cause. I miss the show dearly. I was supposed to actually get one of the shirts signed by some of the cast, or at least that’s what was promised to me in exchange for the design, And I never got one. 🙁 I honestly didn’t expect it, but it would’ve been cool. The person I designed the shirts for dropped off the planet after she got the final files from me. Such is life.
I’m actually a printer myself, and I always wanted one of those… 😉 Just never got around to printing one up.
Anyways, thanks for the kind words and I hope those that have one of those elusive shirts enjoys them.
