Slacker.
Yeah, I get it. Where is my usual wordy blog? Where is my answer to Rachel’s topic win? It’s coming, I promise. Had to actually do some research with hers. Rachel ( Rachel Writes )… I had no idea you’d be sending me to those kinds of sites! (g)
Got lots of stuff happening here, too. I’m getting ready for a writer’s conference this weekend. I love this one– go every single year. I meet a group of friends and we do nothing but breathe writing all weekend. And eat. And drink a bit… heh heh
Ordered extra copies of Surreal Magazine to sign. I’m about to make new business cards to hand out.
Had to find a semi-formal outfit for Saturday night and since I went up a size, had to buy new slacks. Eck. Hate shopping– I’m missing a serious girl gene or something. But I upped the workout, adding my kids’ trampoline, so there better be results! Hubby likes it– the trampoline, that is. He’s not happy about the work-out clothes over one of those little cheerleader outfits, but I’m all about getting back into my usual shape right now, then we’ll work on his fantasies… Think he was expecting The Man Show or something.
I’ve also been designing and revamping the The Write Snark : CafePress.com like crazy! New designs, new items, lower prices, all kinds of good things. Check it out. I got in all the coffee mugs I’m giving out at OKRWA in June and they look so good! I love these new high color, better fitting designs. If you check out anything, look at the new mugs… they’re fun.
Can’t get images to load onto blogger today. Bummer.
I’m loving the writing inspired by the big hand pic! I may compile them and put them into one blog entry, so if anyone wants to get their writing onto the page, put it into the comment section of The Write Snark: Quick Note. X-dell ( The X Spot ) is right, once a week would be a bit much, but every so often, I plan to find a strange photo and challenge you all to write about it. It is one of the best ways to inspire creativity. I’ve written many, many stories and scenes from photographs, especially portraits.
I’m quivering over excitement about the new Tool CD out TODAY!!! I hit replay on The Pot so many times here www.myspace.com/toolperfect0, I can sing it. Not like Maynard. If I could sing like that, I’d be a different sort of artist.
I also think we discovered what was making me so ill, so I won’t be harping on that depressing stuff anymore. Hard to believe it, but between the new healthy regime and this six-week stint on meds, I feel like my old snarky self… just less old! That’s a good thing.
