I’m no longer so enchanted with Liquid Story Binder. It has this hanging indent formatting that I can’t seem to turn off. After a little while of typing, all the paragraphs screw up. The whole thing automatically indents to the right when I just want the first line indented. I love my layout with my notes to the left and my images to the right. Love the color scheme and how the whole setup “feels” more creative. But having to highlight and decrease the hanging indent for every damn paragraph gets on my nerves.
Sigh.
Oh well.
However, even with all the frustration with the software, I’ve already cleared 2000 words today and since I’m feeling the story so well, I’m going to continue working tonight. I’m in my big chair in the living room, the hubby is ecstatic over a Redskins game and the fact that our son is now playing football and actually (kind of) interested in watching the game with him. They are both wearing Redskin jerseys. How cute is that???? The one on my son swallows him whole. They have matching grins I don’t totally get, but I know it makes me want to hug them. <g>
For some reason, football on the television makes me write. I don’t know if it’s the promise of my favorite season, Fall, or just that no matter how hard I try, I can’t stay interested… but I always double my word counts during football season.
It could be as simple as doing what I enjoy while in the same room with the hubby who is most definitely doing what he enjoys. The man gets all kinds of excited over the game. And since he’s occupied and I’m all comfy in my favorite writing spot, I just seem to accomplish more.
I also made a new beef and potato Serbian dish that had of all things, cinnamon. It also had red wine, paprika and a whole bunch of other ingredients like chopped carrots, peppers and onions. I’m going to doctor the recipe next time since it was a bit dry for my taste, but it had an interesting flavor that sent the hubby back for a third helping. (He’s in there now picking out bites with a spoon. Thinks I don’t notice. heh)
I should be able to clear another 2000 words tonight, so I have my earphones in and my feet up. I’m playing some really moody, mostly instrumental music by Knut Avenstroup. Okay, it’s the soundtrack to Age of Conan.
