I’m interrupting the Monday Ramble to share a fantastic review my brother’s band, Psymbience, received from a local publication. http://www.nonzine.com/reviews/bubbahernandez_psymbience_mcnastee.html
My brother called this morning to share and I loved hearing the enthusiasm in his voice. He’s promised more music soon and I have a feeling this new stuff is going to blow me away. They do have a new lead singer than the one you’ll hear on this CD, but I’ve heard him live and he’s good.
Can’t wait for the new music!
But… this reviewer said they are better than Tool. As an admitted Tool fanatic myself, this is high praise indeed. 😉
If you’d like to hear different clips from IS, go here. Try Genesis. Genesis is incredible live–the build up of tension flows through the audience, making everyone hold their breath–waiting for that release. The clip starts right at that point of release. (Sounds like I’m talking about something altogether more sweaty, doesn’t it? ) Medium also rocks live.
I’m also pretty stoked over learning of this new publication. I’ve been exploring this morning and it’s right up my alley. Maybe I’ll get them to review Dweller on the Threshold…
