I’ve noticed that on Tuesdays, I tend to post odds and ends, funny videos or well… just stuff.
I think it’s because Tuesday is usually one of my more creative days so I don’t put a lot of time into writing about the writing life here. Uh, I ignore you guys for my fiction and store. <g>
Makes little sense, I know, but I usually make a new design for the store and work on various writing projects like the store’s newsletter, etc. I also seem to remember, on Tuesdays, to put food in the crock pot early as well so I have one less thing to think about later.
Why putting food in an all-day cooking device lessens worry is beyond me… but it works. Seriously.
So, I have different things to share today and then I’ll post the funnies.
First of all, since the major computer went down, I lost a lot of info. I’m hoping to get it back, but to tell you the truth; I haven’t shipped out the baby yet because I’m hesitant to ship something out with so much of “me” in it. My writing, my files, pictures… Do we realize how much of our lives we put on these things?
And well, I’m still pretty torked about the In-home service warranty I bought. BOUGHT. (Taking a moment to bitch silently to myself here. Explicit, so BRB. )
But, I lost the Scene From a Pic entries that were emailed to me, so please resend those. I’ll be posting all the writing from the last picture tomorrow and I’ll be putting up a photo that’s a little more vague—a little more open to various interpretation. J
If you did write for our metallic blonde and would like your work posted here (along with a link to your site) get it to me by tonight. Here’s the picture again.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check some of the past entries under that category “Scene from a Pic” to the right. In fact, you can bring up this picture larger there– probably the first entry. (I’m still a bit WordPress image challenged!)
I’d like to share a great thing in the works over at one of Mel Odom’s blogs, Working the Magic. I thought I was an over-achiever, but this man has me beat. And he’s damned successful at making it work for him. I’m pretty excited about this project—he’ll be sharing the growth of an entire novel from idea to publication—and with Mel, it’ll be publication. He’s a fantastic teacher so if you ever wanted to know what it’s like to follow a novel, join the party with me.
The rush to save Apex Digest is going strong and the numbers are in the 80 % of the goal. Yay! Now I have another chance to “try and” wow them with my scary short fiction… Uh yeah. But, anyway, there is a fantastic raffle going on which include critiques from “real editors” as well as signed copies of books, lifetime subscriptions to magazines, etc… For a dollar a ticket, the price is good, too. Click on the word raffle and check out all the items!
Now for the funnies:
Sara (Moments of Clarity) gifts us with kilt guy every Tuesday. I’m not stealing her idea, this is a gift for her today because it appeals to my off sense of humor. (I actually find the video interesting and how many, many times do we feel like we’re Coming Undone??

And because this is too cute not to share, check out these teenagers here. If you stick around for their whole show, I guarantee a smile or two.
(Unfortunately, I’m WordPress video challenged, too! I’ll get the hang of the new site, I promise. Until then, here’s a very, very important tip:
Find these!
The Heath ones! Oh man. )
