So, I told Rachel I wasn’t going to announce anything on my young adult novel and then I did on Twitter anyway. <g> Actually, there isn’t a lot of news.
Just…
My agent loved it.
She had a couple of things for me to repair, but it wasn’t much and it’s already back to her.
She did want me to give the books in the trilogy new titles and I’m not going to share yet, but I will say that brainstorming new titles was hilarious. Seriously, my critique partner, Rachel Vincent, was in the silliest mood. My YA trilogy is apocalyptic so she was having a blast sending me end of the world titles–she even did a Tina Turner does the apocalypse series. This came from one suggestion from my agent, Miriam. Yes, we even pulled her into the title game.
So tonight, when Rachel asked for help brainstorming a title, I returned the Tina Turner favor. I’m sensing the singer will turn into a tradition when it comes to naming our books. LOL!
I’m really liking the titles I settled on and will share soon. I’m nervous and excited to have two books out there circulating now. I’d like to really dive into either series, so keep your fingers crossed that they find homes. (Okay, okay, I’ve kind of already started book two in the young adult series. I can’t help it. The story is so alive! And… part of book two in my adult urban fantasy is written… you guys know I’m hardcore. <G>)
Anyway, next week, I plan to blog a lot. And most of it won’t be here. I’m doing a couple of guest blogs for Rachel and she’s given me permission to make fun-but I’ll be nice. Maybe. I’ll also be blogging at the Deadline Dames. So if anyone has topics they’d like me to address, drop me a note in the comments and who knows? Maybe I’ll have something to say about one.
