Thanks for your well wishes and your continued patience over my silent website. I’ve had a lot of visitors to my dystopian YA page and yes, the first draft is done and in critiques with my CP, Rachel Vincent.
However, there will still be a bit of silence here.
Because, OMG. This flu swept in and knocked me flat for days. Yesterday, I felt better and was worrying about my deadline, so I got up and polished five chapters. Last night, still feeling pretty good, I started handwriting and cleared over ten pages on a legal pad. (This is on another project.)
But then, I couldn’t fall asleep. Scenes and ideas were flowing so hard, I blinked at the ceiling forever. (I’ll suffocate if I even think of sleeping on my side.) The coughing began and that was it. No sleep.
So, today, I’m back in Freaking Flu Land. My husband was down yesterday. He dragged himself to work today. Poor thing. Doubt he lasts because he was in rough shape, too. So, today my wish is for scientists to work harder at finding a cure for the common flu. Come on, you know it’s hidden in some wild herb out there. 😉
