I turned in copy edits on FORECAST this morning. I really like this book but have a feeling some will find it a bit different from my usual. Coral isn’t my usual heroine. She has an inner core of strength like the others, but her outer strength lies in knowledge more than fighting. I’m completely in love with some secondary characters in FORECAST. Wait until you meet Josh and Grim Tanner!
And I think Taran is one of my sexier heroes. Yeah, he’s just turning eighteen in the book-but I would have LOVED him at eighteen. 😉
I have one more difficult deadline set up right now so I can do nothing but work on FORESWORN for another few weeks. It’s hard. Everyone does everything in spring. Proms, birthdays, graduations… And me still without wheels after the car accident. But I hope that’s resolved soon. I plan to take a couple of weeks off then to breathe a bit and catch up on things that have been let go over the past year.
But…Beri and her friends are calling me. This next book of hers is big and bold and exciting and funny and kind of heartbreaking. The story is just there and ready to go. Man, I miss her and Blythe and Nikolos and Castor and yeah, yeah…I miss them all. So, I’ll be working on her next project fully. I have been getting a few emails lately from readers asking about the third book and that makes me sooo happy.
You have no idea how much!
My Beri books haven’t reached a very big audience and that was one reason I had no choice but to set them aside to finish up another project. (And I’m not talking about my Norse triplets. I Love these books just as much!) But I am kind of nuts about Beri’s world and do plan to keep going with her.
So, if you enjoy Dweller on the Threshold and Blood of an Ancient, let people know. It’s the small, word of mouth shares that can really make a difference. 🙂
