I keep typing up posts and these huge gusts of wind come through and knock the cable out. It is somewhat annoying.
I’ll get back to the posts about writing, but today, I thought I’d talk shop.
I’ve been buying blogads. Learning a lot about what kind of ad makes people click on it, that sort of thing. I installed stat meters so I can learn all sorts of info. I can see which shirts get looked at the most, etc.
I originally started the t-shirt shops because I’d made some for myself and my writer friends liked them. I expanded and started spending more time on them because around that time, my husband left a very lucrative business and well, I’m a writer. heh heh
So, once I got serious, I started buying advertising on blogs, etc. BTW, for those who want to advertise books, it’s an excellent and fairly cheap answer. I got over 300 clicks on Pandagon alone in a week.
But I’m still learning, so I obsessively check the stats. Today, I had a few hits from a site I didn’t pick, so I meandered over and read this.

At first, I thought it was an insult. Then I saw it was under “Things worth a Looksee” and well, it’s free publicity. Cool beans.
But I did wonder about this “for those who buy or wear such things.”
I wear them. I’m a writer. I work at home. Alone. (Well, I’m supposed to be but the hubby is still hanging around here more often than not.) I don’t have to dress up for anyone and these are easy and comfortable and they make me smile. The sweatshirts are perfect for someone who ends up sitting like a contortionist half the day. I guess I’m one of those who would buy such a thing. I buy such things from others as well.
So, I’m going to share some of my favorites from the Net. These are all on my “to buy” list…

Klingon Romance Women’s Cap Sleeve T-Shirt > Klingon Romance > STARTREK.COM On Couldn’t leave this one out. So few of my friends get this… sigh…
“Got Wine?” T-shirts and more Jr. Raglan > “Got Wine?” T-shirts and more… > This is probably my favorite. It’s at the top of my list. They have it on a lot of shirt styles, too.

The H.H.Gs was done for a good friend of mine who just became a grandmother. She’s just a few years older than me and incredibly beautiful. She’s a hot, happening grandmother so I made her a shirt to celebrate! A couple of people have asked her where she got it, so it’s now an open store.
Oh, and the Twisted Liberal shirt on the Fanatics site is probably my best seller. I discounted it because another very good friend… a non liberal friend… likes to call me this. But I know she loves me and means it in fun. So I made the shirt… Just to wear when we go out together…. I do “such” things… Can’t wait to see what shirt she’ll come up with in retaliation… Good times. 
Proof I wear them. We call this one “Dumb Ass who takes picture in mirror” or “Hey Dumb Ass, run away from the light!” I tried to take it facing me, but it was just boobs– no proof there. (wg)
Update: Ignore the makeup above– not a Tammy Faye moment, just an experiment because of new glasses. Looks weird. But anyway… the update is about Cafe Press. It seems I find a new author going onto Cafe Press daily. And now, for your viewing pleasure… a Brian Keene thong.
