It’s so hard to remain upbeat at times. Had kind of a rough weekend. Whiplash and other sore spots from a car accident. Right before this happened, I was so excited about Foretold being up on Netgalley and going to reviewers. But I think I’ll be requesting we not do this from now on. Someone in that list loaded my book onto a lot of pirate sites. It’s not even out yet. Between the pain and beginning the fight to get the illegal copies of my books down, I spent the afternoon in tears. I wish people understood this is my job.

I turned in a book last night. So many emotions hit you right after you hit send. First, euphoria because you get a break from the LONG stream of 15+ hour days. Then nerves because you hope your editor doesn’t call to say you gotta start again. From scratch. Then today? The crash. Don’t know why I planned to make things up to my family by hella-cleaning and baking because I keep starting stuff then finding myself staring at a wall. The brain–she’s just not altogether there. LOL

New Kind of Excitement!
This is the first time I’ve held one of my books in my hand. It feels incredible!! I’ve been writing a long, long time so this is a big deal for me.
I’m currently finishing up my second Harlequin Teen young adult book. OMG, it’s action-packed and apocalyptic and I’m in love with my hero–even though he is way too young for me. LOL.
Dweller on the Threshold comes out in trade-sized print March 4. It’s currently up for pre-order at Samhain Publishing for $16.00. It will go on sale there a few weeks before release with a really nice discount, so I’ll post when that happens. It’s also up at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. It’s $12.56 at Amazon!

Beri-Cozy in the UK
Beri O’Dell book #1, Dweller on the Threshold, has pretty much stayed in the top 50 in its category in the UK Amazon for about a month. She even dipped into the top 20 a few times! Very exciting to see that maybe word is getting out. I love writing the Beri O’Dell books and hope there can be many more. 😉
